How long should a water heater last?
Most tank water heaters serve 8–12 years; tankless units often last considerably longer with regular descaling. If yours is inside that range and acting up, it's worth a repair visit before assuming replacement.
Tank or tankless — which one fits?
Tank units cost less up front and keep hot water stored and ready. Tankless units cost more to install, last longer, and never run out. Primo installs and services both — a quick call usually sorts out which fits your house and budget.
What are the warning signs?
Rusty water, rumbling or popping sounds, water around the base, or hot water that runs out fast. Any of those, it's time to call — before it fails on a Tuesday morning.
